Transliteration

anyonyam sampariṣvajya śayānān dravatoparān | saṃlīnān yuddhayamānāṃś ca sarvān drauṇir apothayat ||

Translation

ಕೆಲವರು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಅಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಲಗಿದ್ದರು; ಕೆಲವರು ಭೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಓಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು; ಕೆಲವರು ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು; ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಹೋರಾಡಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು—ದ್ರೋಣನ ಪುತ್ರ ಅಶ್ವತ್ಥಾಮನು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು.
