चिकीर्षन्‌ कर्म शत्रुभ्यो बाहुद्रव्यानुरूपत: । इसीलिये वे अपनी विशाल भुजाओंकी ओर देखते हुए यात्रा करते हैं। राजन्‌! अपने बाहुबलरूपी वैभवपर उन्हें गर्व है। अतः वे अपनी दोनों भुजाएँ दिखाते हुए शत्रुओंसे बदला लेनेके लिये अपने बाहुबलके अनुरूप ही पराक्रम करना चाहते हैं

Transliteration

cikīrṣan karma śatrubhyo bāhudravyānurūpataḥ |

Translation

“ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ, ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಹುಬಲ-ವೈಭವಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆಲೇ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಹಾಬಾಹುಗಳತ್ತ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡೇ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ರಾಜನೇ! ಬಾಹುಬಲವೆಂಬ ವೈಭವದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಗರ್ವವಿದೆ; ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಎರಡೂ ಬಾಹುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿ, ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರತೀಕಾರ ಪಡೆಯಲು ತಮ್ಮ ಶಕ್ತಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಅವರು ಬಯಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.”
