दुर्योधनस्य बलिवर्णनम् — Duryodhana’s Description of Tribute at the Rājasūya
अमर्षेण तु सम्पूर्णो दहममानो दिवानिशम् । शुचिशुक्रागमे काले शुष्येत् तोयमिवाल्पकम्
amarṣeṇa tu sampūrṇo dahamāno divāniśam | śuciśukrāgame kāle śuṣyet toyam ivālpakam ||
“ನಾನು ಅಮರ್ಷದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಹಗಲು-ರಾತ್ರಿ ದಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಕ್ಷೀಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ—ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ, ತೀವ್ರ ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನೀರೂ ಬೇಗ ಒಣಗುವಂತೆ.”
