नातिचक्राम भीष्मस्य स हि वाक्यमरिंदम: । समुदवृत्तो घनापाये वेलामिव महोदधि:,शत्रुदमन भीम भीष्मजीकी आज्ञाका उल्लंघन उसी प्रकार न कर सके, जैसे वर्षकि अन्तमें उमड़ा हुआ होनेपर भी महासागर अपनी तटभूमिसे आगे नहीं बढ़ता है

Transliteration

nāticakrāma bhīṣmasya sa hi vākyam ariṃdamaḥ | samudavṛtto ghanāpāye velām iva mahodadhiḥ ||

Translation

ಶತ್ರುದಮನನಾದ ಭೀಮನು ಭೀಷ್ಮನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಮೀರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಮಳೆಗಾಲದ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮುದ್ರ ಉಬ್ಬಿದರೂ ಮಹಾಸಾಗರ ತನ್ನ ತೀರವನ್ನು ದಾಟದಂತೆ।
