शल्यं च पार्थों दशश्ि: पृषत्कै- भुशं तनुत्रे प्रहसन्नविध्यत्‌

Transliteration

śalyaṃ ca pārtho daśabhiḥ pṛṣatkaiḥ bhuśaṃ tanutre prahasann avidhyat

Translation

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ನಂತರ ಪಾರ್ಥ ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸದ ನಗೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತು ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣ ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಶಲ್ಯನನ್ನು ಬಲವಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಧನು; ಅವನ ಕವಚವನ್ನು ಭೇದಿಸಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿದನು. ಇದು ಯೋಧಧರ್ಮದ ನಿರಂತರ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವನ್ನೂ, ಧರ್ಮಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಕಾಗುವ ಕಠಿಣ ನಿಖರತೆಯನ್ನೂ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
