अथोपयातत्त्वरितो दिदृक्षु- मन्त्रौषधीभिर्निरुजो विशल्य:
athopayāt tvarito didṛkṣu-
mantrauṣadhībhir nirujo viśalyaḥ
ನಂತರ ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಅವನು ತ್ವರಿತವಾಗಿ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು—ಮಂತ್ರೌಷಧಿಗಳಿಂದ ನೋವು ನಿವಾರಣೆಯಾಗಿ, ಬಾಣ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ವಿಶಲ್ಯನಾದವನನ್ನು।
संजय उवाच
Even in a setting governed by violence and duty, the tradition affirms the ethical value of relieving suffering: knowledge (mantra) and practical care (medicine) are portrayed as restoring wholeness and dignity to the wounded.
Sañjaya reports that someone quickly approaches, eager to see a warrior who has been made pain-free and had the embedded shaft removed through the use of mantras and medicinal herbs.
