महीवियद्दिगम्बूनां सर्वनाशमिवाद्धुतम् । कर्मणोरिव वैफल्यमुभयो: पुण्यपापयो:
mahīviyaddigambūnāṃ sarvanāśam ivādbhūtam | karmaṇor iva vaiphalyam ubhayoḥ puṇyapāpayoḥ ||
ವೈಶಂಪಾಯನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಓ ರಾಜನೇ! ಇದು ಭೂಮಿ, ಆಕಾಶ, ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಜಲಗಳ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶದಂತೆ ಅಚ್ಚರಿಯಾಯಿತು; ಪುಣ್ಯ-ಪಾಪ—ಎರಡೂ ಕರ್ಮಗಳೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದಂತೆಯೇ ತೋರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
