समाश्वस्ता: स्थिता राजन् सम्प्रह्ष्ठा: परस्परम् । समाजम्मुश्न युद्धाय मृत्युं कृत्वा निवर्तनम्
samāśvastāḥ sthitā rājan samprahṛṣṭāḥ parasparam | samājam uśnān yuddhāya mṛtyuṁ kṛtvā nivartanam ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಹೇ ರಾಜನೇ! ಅವರು ಧೈರ್ಯ ಪಡೆದು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತರು; ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಹರ್ಷ ತುಂಬಿದರು. ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿ, ಮರಣವನ್ನೇ ಬೆಲೆಯೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಿ, ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವುದನ್ನು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದರು।
