कर्णनिधनवृत्तान्तनिवेदनम् | Reporting Karṇa’s Fall to Yudhiṣṭhira

तत्‌ ते न प्रत्यसूयामि न च सर्व विधीयते । प्रभवार्थाय भूतानां धर्मप्रवचनं कृतम्‌,किंतु मैं तुम्हारे निकट इन दोनों मतोंके ऊपर कोई दोषारोपण नहीं करता; परंतु केवल वेदोंके द्वारा सभी धर्म-कर्मोंका विधान नहीं होता; इसीलिये धर्मज्ञ महर्षियोंने समस्त प्राणियोंके अभ्युदय और नि:श्रेयसके लिये उत्तम धर्मका प्रतिपादन किया है

tat te na pratyasūyāmi na ca sarva vidhīyate | prabhavārthāya bhūtānāṃ dharmapravacanaṃ kṛtam ||

ವಾಯು ಹೇಳಿದರು: ಆ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ಧರ್ಮ-ಕರ್ಮಗಳ ವಿಧಿಯೂ ಕೇವಲ ವೇದಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಧರ್ಮಜ್ಞ ಮಹರ್ಷಿಗಳು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜೀವಿಗಳ ಅಭ್ಯುದಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಮ ಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
