अष्टागवामष्ट शतानि बाणान् मया प्रयुद्धस्य वहन्ति तस्य । तांस्तेन मुक्तानहमस्य बाणै- व्यनाशयं वायुरिवा भ्रजालम्
arjuna uvāca |
aṣṭāgavām aṣṭa śatāni bāṇān mayā prayuddhasya vahanti tasya |
tāṁs tena muktān aham asya bāṇair vyanāśayaṁ vāyur ivā bhrajālam ||
ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಯುದ್ಧದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಂಟುನೂರು ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾರಿಸಿದನು, ಎಂಟು ಅಶ್ವಗಳ ವೇಗದಿಂದ ಹೊತ್ತೊಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಡುವಂತೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ ಆ ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಚೂರುಚೂರಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು—ಗಾಳಿ ಜ್ವಲಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಕಾಶರಾಶಿಯನ್ನು ಚದುರಿಸುವಂತೆ.
