नरेषु च महाराज कृतं सम कदनं महत् । महाराज! सूतपुत्रने हाथियों, घोड़ों, रथों और पैदल मनुष्योंके दलमें घुसकर बड़ा भारी संहार मचा दिया था

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಮಹಾರಾಜ, ನರರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಮವಾಗಿ ಮಹಾ ಕದನ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿತು. ಸೂತಪುತ್ರ ಕರ್ಣನು ಗಜ-ಅಶ್ವ-ರಥ-ಪದಾತಿ ದಳಗಳೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿ ಭಾರೀ ಸಂಹಾರವನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡಿದನು.
