अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च

दुर्योधन तु विरथं छिन्नवर्मायुधं रणे
duryodhana tu virathaṁ chinnavarmāyudhaṁ raṇe
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಆದರೆ ರಣಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದುರ್ಯೋಧನನು ರಥವಿಲ್ಲದವನಾದನು; ಅವನ ಕವಚವೂ ಆಯುಧಗಳೂ ಛಿನ್ನವಾದವು. ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗ್ಯ ತಿರುಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಅಹಂಕಾರದ ಭಾರವು ತನ್ನ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶದೊಡನೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ।
