एतदू विस्तरशो युद्ध प्रब्रूहि कुशलो हासि । न हि तृप्यामि वीराणां शृण्वानो विक्रमान् रणे
etad ū vistaraso yuddhaṁ prabrūhi kuśalo hāsi | na hi tṛpyāmi vīrāṇāṁ śṛṇvāno vikramān raṇe, sūta |
ಓ ಸಂಜಯ, ಈ ಯುದ್ಧವೃತ್ತಾಂತವನ್ನು ವಿವರವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳು; ನೀನು ವರ್ಣನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಪುಣನು. ಓ ಸೂತ, ರಣಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವೀರರ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿರಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ।
