यस्त्वस्य विहितो घातस्तं करिष्यामि भारत । प्रधानवध एवास्य विनाशस्तं करोम्यहम्,'युद्धशास्त्रमें इस व्यूहके विनाशके लिये जो उपाय बताया गया है, उसीका सम्पादन करूँगा। प्रधान सेनापतिका वध होनेपर ही इसका विनाश हो सकता है; अतः मैं वही करूँगा”
sañjaya uvāca | yastv asya vihito ghātastam kariṣyāmi bhārata | pradhāna-vadha evāsya vināśas taṃ karomy aham ||
ಓ ಭಾರತ! ಈ ವ್ಯೂಹವನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಲು ವಿಧಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸಂಹಾರೋಪಾಯವನ್ನೇ ನಾನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವೆ. ಇದರ ನಾಶವು ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಸೇನಾಪತಿಯ ವಧದಿಂದಲೇ ಸಾಧ್ಯ; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡುವೆ.
