कर्णेन सैन्यस्थापनं तथा नानायुद्धसमवायः

अथवा दुष्कृतस्य त्वं हर्ता तेषामरक्षिता । रक्षिता पुण्यभाग् राजा प्रजानां त्वं हपुण्यभाक्
athavā duṣkṛtasya tvaṁ hartā teṣām arakṣitā | rakṣitā puṇyabhāg rājā prajānāṁ tvaṁ ha-puṇyabhāk ||
ಅಥವಾ ನೀನು ಅವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ, ಅವರ ದುಷ್ಕೃತದ ಪಾಲುದಾರನಾಗುತ್ತೀ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಸುರಕ್ಷಿತರಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುವವನಾಗುತ್ತೀ. ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ರಾಜನೇ ಅವರ ಪುಣ್ಯದ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಪಾಪದ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗುತ್ತೀ.
