कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
विष्णुश्नात्मा भगवतो भवस्यामिततेजस: । तस्माद् धनुर्ज्यासंस्पर्श न विषेह॒र्हरस्य ते,अमिततेजस्वी भगवान् शंकरके आत्मा हैं विष्णु। अतः वे दैत्य भगवान् शिवके धनुषकी प्रत्यंचा एवं बाणका स्पर्श न सह सके
viṣṇuś cātmā bhagavato bhavasya amitātejasāḥ | tasmād dhanuḥjyāsaṃsparśaṃ na viṣehuḥ harasya te ||
ಅಮಿತ ತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನ ಭಗವಾನ್ ಭವ (ಶಿವ)ನ ಆತ್ಮವೇ ವಿಷ್ಣು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು (ಆ ದೈತ್ಯರು) ಹರ (ಶಿವ)ನ ಧನುರ್ಜ್ಯೆಯೂ ಬಾಣಗಳೂ ತಾಕಿದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶವನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
