स्थाणुरुवाच यदि शक्तिर्न वः काचिद् बिभर्तु मामकं॑ बलम् | अहमेतान् हनिष्यामि युष्मत्तेजो<र्धबृंहित:,भगवान् शिव बोले--देवगण! यदि मेरे बलको धारण करनमेमें तुम्हारी सामर्थ्य नहीं है तो मैं ही तुमलोगोंके आधे तेजसे परिपुष्ट हो इन दैत्योंका वध करूँगा
sthāṇur uvāca yadi śaktir na vaḥ kācid bibhartu māmakaṃ balam | aham etān haniṣyāmi yuṣmat-tejo'rdha-bṛṃhitaḥ ||
ಸ್ಥಾಣು (ಶಿವ) ಹೇಳಿದರು—ದೇವಗಣವೇ! ನನ್ನ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸುವ ಶಕ್ತಿ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಮೂಹ ತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನ ಅರ್ಧಭಾಗದಿಂದ ಬಲವರ್ಧಿತನಾಗಿ ಈ ದೈತ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುವೆನು.
