मृतस्तस्यां परिक्षिप्तस्तादृशेनैव जज्ञिवान् जो दैत्य जिस रूप और जैसे वेषमें रहता था, मरनेपर उस बावड़ीमें डालनेके पश्चात् वैसे ही रूप और वेषसे सम्पन्न होकर प्रकट हो जाता था
mṛtastasyāṃ parikṣiptastādṛśenaiva jajñivān | yo daityaḥ yas rūpa aur jaise veṣameṃ rahatā thā, maraṇepara us bāvaṛīmeṃ ḍālneke paścāt vaise hī rūpa aur veṣase sampanna hokara prakaṭa ho jātā thā ||
ದುರ್ಯೋಧನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಆ ದೈತ್ಯನು ಯಾವ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲೂ ಯಾವ ವೇಷದಲ್ಲೂ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನೋ, ಸತ್ತ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದೇ ಬಾವಿಗೆ ಎಸೆದರೂ ಅದೇ ರೂಪ-ವೇಷದಿಂದಲೇ ಮತ್ತೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
