कर्णस्य दानप्रतिज्ञा–शल्योपदेश–वाक्ययुद्धम्

ततः किलकिलाशब्दा: प्रादुरासन् महीपते । भूपाल! तदनन्तर उस महासमरमें सहस्रों बाजे बजने लगे और वहाँ किलकिलाहटकी आवाज गूँज उठी

ಅನಂತರ, ಓ ಮಹೀಪತೇ, ಅಚಾನಕವಾಗಿ ಕಿಲಕಿಲಾ ಘೋಷಗಳ ಮಹಾ ಕೋಲಾಹಲ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿತು. ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಆ ಮಹಾಸಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವಾದ್ಯಗಳು ನಿನಾದಿಸಿತು; ರಣಭೂಮಿ ಗದ್ದಲದಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿಧ್ವನಿಸಿತು.
