तत्राक्रन्दो महानासीत् पाण्डवानां विशाम्पते । दृष्टवा सेनापतिं यान्तं पञ्चालानां रथव्रजान्,प्रजानाथ! कौरव-सेनापति कर्णको पांचाल रथियोंकी ओर जाते देख पाण्डव- सैनिकोंमें महान् कोलाहल मच गया
tatrākrando mahān āsīt pāṇḍavānāṃ viśāmpate | dṛṣṭvā senāpatiṃ yāntaṃ pañcālānāṃ rathavrajān ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಪ್ರಜಾನಾಥನೇ! ಕೌರವ ಸೇನಾಪತಿ ಕರ್ಣನು ಪಾಂಚಾಲರ ರಥಯೋಧರ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಪಾಂಡವರ ಸೇನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾ ಕೂಗು-ಕಲಹ ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು।
