पितामहत्वं सम्प्रेक्ष्य पाण्डुपुत्रा महारणे | रक्षितास्तात भीष्मेण दिवसानि दशैव तु,“तात! भीष्मने पितामहके नातेकी ओर दृष्टिपात करके उस महासमरमें दस दिनोंतक पाण्डवोंकी रक्षा की है
pitāmahatvaṁ samprekṣya pāṇḍuputrā mahāraṇe | rakṣitās tāta bhīṣmeṇa divasāni daśaiva tu ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ತಾತಾ! ಪಿತಾಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿ, ಆ ಮಹಾಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಪಾಂಡುಪುತ್ರರನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಹತ್ತು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು.
