कर्णसेनापत्यारम्भः — Karṇa’s Appointment and the Report to Dhṛtarāṣṭra
Chapter 1
ते मुहूर्त समाश्वस्य हेतुभि: शास्त्रसम्मितै: । रात्यागमे महीपाला: स्वानि वेश्मानि भेजिरे
te muhūrtaṃ samāśvasya hetubhiḥ śāstra-sammitaiḥ | rātry-āgame mahīpālāḥ svāni veśmāni bhejire ||
ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಸಮ್ಮತವಾದ ಕಾರಣಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತು ಸಮಾಧಾನಗೊಂಡು, ರಾತ್ರಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಆ ಮಹೀಪಾಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಿಗೆ (ಶಿಬಿರಗಳಿಗೆ) ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದರು. ಇತಿ ಶ್ರೀಮಹಾಭಾರತೆ ಕರ್ಣಪರ್ವಣಿ ‘ಜನಮೇಜಯವಾಕ್ಯಂ’ ನಾಮ ಪ್ರಥಮೋಧ್ಯಾಯಃ.
