दीर्घो द्वादश गव्यूति: पश्चार्थे पज्च विस्तृत: । व्यूहस्तु चक्रशकटो भारद्वाजेन निर्मित:

Transliteration

dīrgho dvādaśa gavyūtiḥ paścārdhe pañca vistṛtaḥ | vyūhas tu cakraśakaṭo bhāradvājena nirmitaḥ ||

Translation

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಆ ವ್ಯೂಹವು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಗವ್ಯೂತಿಗಳಷ್ಟು ಉದ್ದವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಹಿಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ಗವ್ಯೂತಿಗಳಷ್ಟು ಅಗಲವಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಅದು ಭಾರದ್ವಾಜ (ದ್ರೋಣ) ರಚಿಸಿದ ‘ಚಕ್ರ-ಶಕಟ’ ವ್ಯೂಹವಾಗಿತ್ತು।
