मा विषादे मन: पार्थ कृथा: कालो हि दुर्जय: । काल: सर्वाणि भूतानि नियच्छति परे विधौ,“कुन्तीनन्दन! तुम अपने मनको विषादमें न डालो; क्योंकि कालपर विजय पाना अत्यन्त कठिन है। काल ही समस्त प्राणियोंको विधाताके अवश्यम्भावी विधानमें प्रवृत्त कर देता है
mā viṣāde manaḥ pārtha kṛthāḥ kālo hi durjayaḥ | kālaḥ sarvāṇi bhūtāni niyacchati pare vidhau ||
“ಪಾರ್ಥಾ! ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ವಿಷಾದದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿಸಬೇಡ; ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸುವುದು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ದುರ್ಜಯ. ಪರಮ ವಿಧಾತನ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ ವಿಧಾನದೊಳಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ಭೂತಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಲವೇ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಿ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತದೆ.”
