शरौघाञ्छरजालेन विदुधाव धनंजय: । प्रजवलित बाणसमूह तथा देदीप्यमान धनुष धारण करनेवाले कर्णके उन बाणसमूहोंको अर्जुनने अपने बाणोंके समुदायद्वारा छिन्न-भिन्न कर दिया
śaraughān śarajālena vidudhāva dhanañjayaḥ | prajvalita-bāṇa-samūhaṃ tathā dedīpyamāna-dhanuṣ-dhāriṇaḥ karṇasya bāṇa-samūhān arjunena sva-śara-samūhair chinna-bhinnāḥ kṛtāḥ |
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಧನಂಜಯ ಅರ್ಜುನನು ತನ್ನ ಬಾಣಜಾಲದಿಂದ ಧಾವಿಸಿ ಬಂದ ಬಾಣವೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಚೂರುಚೂರಾಗಿಸಿದನು. ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನ ಧನುಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿದ ಕರ್ಣನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ ಜ್ವಲಂತ ಬಾಣಸಮೂಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಜುನನು ತನ್ನ ಸಾಂದ್ರ ಬಾಣಪ್ರವಾಹದಿಂದ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ತುಂಡು ತುಂಡಾಗಿ ಚದುರಿಸಿದನು.
