पाण्डुनन्दन युधिष्ठिरके हितके लिये प्रयत्न करनेवाले भरतवंशी महारथी शूरवीर युयुत्सुको सुबाहुने प्रयत्नपूर्वक द्रोणाचार्यकी ओर आनेसे रोक दिया ।। सुबाहो: सथनुर्बाणावस्यत: परिघोपमौ । युयुत्सु: शितपीता भ्यां क्षुरा भ्यामच्छिनद्भुजी

pāṇḍunandana yudhiṣṭhirake hitake liye prayatna karanevāle bharatavaṃśī mahārathī śūravīra yuyutsuko subāhunā prayatnapūrvaka droṇācāryakī ora ānese rok diyā ||
subāhoḥ sa dhanurbāṇāv asyataḥ parighopamau |
yuyutsuḥ śitapītābhyāṃ kṣurābhyām acchinad bhujī ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಪಾಂಡುನಂದನ ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರನ ಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಭರತವಂಶೀಯ ಮಹಾರಥ ಶೂರ ಯುಯುತ್ಸು, ದ್ರೋಣಾಚಾರ್ಯನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸುಬಾಹುವನ್ನು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ತಡೆದನು. ಪರಿಘದಂತೆ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನಾದ ಸುಬಾಹು ಧನುರ್ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಯುಯುತ್ಸು ಶ್ವೇತ-ಪೀತ ವರ್ಣದ ಎರಡು ಕ್ಷುರಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನ ಎರಡೂ ಭುಜಗಳನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಬೀಳಿಸಿದನು.
