ज्वलन्तं शूलमुद्रम्य यां दिशं प्रतिपद्यते । तस्यां दिशि विदीर्यन्ते शत्रवों मे महामुने,महामुने! वे जलता हुआ शूल हाथमें लेकर जिस ओर जाते उसी दिशामें मेरे शत्रु विदीर्ण हो जाते थे

Transliteration

arjuna uvāca | jvalantaṁ śūlam udyamya yāṁ diśaṁ pratipadyate | tasyāṁ diśi vidīryante śatravo me mahāmune ||

Translation

ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಓ ಮಹಾಮುನಿಯೇ! ಅವನು ಜ್ವಲಂತ ಶೂಲವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಯಾವ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಗೆ ಮುಂದಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದನೋ, ಆ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲೇ ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಚಿದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಚೂರುಚೂರಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಚಲಿಸುವ ಆ ಅಪ್ರತಿಹತ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಪ್ರವಾಹವೇ ತಿರುಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ಅಧರ್ಮಿಗಳು ದೈವತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನ ಮುಂದೆ ಕುಸಿದಂತೆ ಕುಸಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
