Shloka 1116

स मोचयति सुप्रीतः शरण्य: शरणागतान्‌ । जो सब प्रकारकी ग्रहबाधाओंसे पीड़ित हैं और सम्पूर्ण पापोंमें डूबे हुए हैं, वे भी यदि शरणमें आ जायँ तो शरणागतवत्सल भगवान्‌ शिव अत्यन्त प्रसन्न होकर उन्हें पाप-तापसे मुक्त कर देते हैं

sa mocayati suprītaḥ śaraṇyaḥ śaraṇāgatān |

ಶರಣ್ಯನಾದ ಭಗವಾನ್ ಶಿವನು ಶರಣಾಗತರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನನಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿಧದ ಗ್ರಹಬಾಧೆಗಳಿಂದ ಪೀಡಿತರಾಗಿ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪಾಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿರುವವರೂ ಶರಣು ಬಂದರೆ, ಶರಣಾಗತವತ್ಸಲನಾದ ಶಿವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪಾಪ-ತಾಪಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ।
