मुहुर्महुरुदीर्यन्ते कम्पयन्त्यपि मामकान् । कौरव-सेनारूपी समुद्रमें यह कोलाहल अत्यन्त तीव्र वेगसे होने लगा है और बारंबार बढ़ता जा रहा है, जो मेरे सैनिकोंको कम्पित किये देता है

ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಈ ಕೋಲಾಹಲವು ಮರುಮರು ಏಳುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನ ಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನೂ ಕಂಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೌರವಸೇನೆ ಎಂಬ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ತುಮುಲ ನಿನಾದವು ಅತೀ ತೀವ್ರ ವೇಗದಿಂದ ಅಲೆಗಳಂತೆ ಉಕ್ಕುತ್ತಿದೆ; ಪುನಃ ಪುನಃ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನ ಯೋಧರ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕದಲಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
