Shloka 44

तस्मात्‌ तं परिपप्रच्छ नान्यं कज्चिद्‌ द्विजर्षभ: । तस्मिंस्तस्य हि सत्याशा बाल्यात्‌ प्रभूति पाण्डवे,अतः जन द्विजश्रेष्ठने उन्हींसे वह बात पूछी, दूसरे किसीसे नहीं, क्योंकि बचपनसे ही पाण्डुपुत्रकी सचाईमें आचार्यका विश्वास था

tasmāt taṃ paripapraccha nānyaṃ kaścid dvijarṣabhaḥ | tasmiṃs tasya hi satyāśā bālyāt prabhṛti pāṇḍave ||

ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದ್ವಿಜಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನು ಅವನನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದನು, ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ಅಲ್ಲ; ಬಾಲ್ಯದಿಂದಲೇ ಪಾಂಡವನ ಸತ್ಯನಿಷ್ಠೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇತ್ತು.
