Shloka 50

उस युद्धमें महारथी सात्यकिको प्रबल होते देख कर्ण आपके पुत्रकी रक्षाके लिये शीघ्र ही बीचमें कूद पड़ा ।। न तु तं मर्षयामास भीमसेनो महाबलः: । सो<भ्ययात्त्वरित: कर्ण विसृजन्‌ सायकान्‌ बहून्‌,परंतु महाबली भीमसेन उसका यह कार्य सहन न कर सके, अतः बहुत-से बाणोंकी वर्षा करते हुए उन्होंने तुरंत ही कर्णपर धावा किया

na tu taṃ marṣayāmāsa bhīmaseno mahābalaḥ | so 'bhyayāt tvaritaḥ karṇaṃ visṛjan sāyakān bahūn ||

ಆ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾರಥಿ ಸಾತ್ಯಕಿಯು ಪ್ರಬಲನಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ಕರ್ಣನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಜಿಗಿದು ಬಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಮಹಾಬಲ ಭೀಮಸೇನನು ಅದನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅನೇಕ ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅವನು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಕರ್ಣನ ಮೇಲೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿದನು.
