पतन्त्यविरला: शूला: शतघ्न्य: पट्टिशास्तथा । लोहेके चक्र, भुशुण्डी, शक्ति, तोमर, शूल, शतघ्नी और पट्टिश आदि अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंकी अविरल धाराएँ गिर रही थीं

Transliteration

patanty aviralāḥ śūlāḥ śataghnyaḥ paṭṭiśās tathā |

Translation

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಅವಿರತವಾಗಿ ಭಾರೀ ಆಯುಧಗಳು ಮಳೆಯಂತೆ ಸುರಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು—ಶೂಲಗಳು, ಶತಘ್ನಿಗಳು, ಪಟ್ಟಿಶಗಳು, ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಚಕ್ರಗಳು, ಭುಶುಂಡಿಗಳು, ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ತೋಮರಗಳು. ಯುದ್ಧಭೂಮಿ ನಿರಂತರ ಲೋಹವೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚಿದಂತಾಯಿತು; ಅದರಿಂದ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಭೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಧರ್ಮಸಂಕಟ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ತೀವ್ರವಾಯಿತು.
