एवं कृत्वा रणे कर्ण आरुरोह रथं पुन: । ततो मुमोच नाराचान् सूतपुत्र: परंतप,रणभूमिमें ऐसा पराक्रम करके कर्ण पुनः अपने रथपर आ बैठा। शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाले नरेश! फिर सूतपुत्र कर्ण नाराचोंकी वर्षा करने लगा
evaṁ kṛtvā raṇe karṇa ārurōha rathaṁ punaḥ | tato mumoca nārācān sūtaputraḥ parantapa ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮ ತೋರಿಸಿ ಕರ್ಣನು ಮತ್ತೆ ತನ್ನ ರಥವನ್ನು ಏರಿದನು. ನಂತರ ಶತ್ರುಸಂತಾಪಕನಾದ ಸೂತಪುತ್ರ ಕರ್ಣನು ನಾರಾಚ ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಧಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಿಡಿದನು.
