विव्यधु: सोमकास्तूर्ण समन्ताच्छरवृष्टिभि: । समरांगणमें द्रोणाचार्यको पाण्डव-सेनाका संहार करते देख सोमकोंने चारों ओरसे बाणोंकी वर्षा करके उन्हें तुरंत घायल कर दिया ।। १३ ह ।। तत्र द्रोणो5हरत् प्राणान् क्षत्रियाणां विशाम्पते
vivyadhuḥ somakās tūrṇaṃ samantāc charavṛṣṭibhiḥ | tatra droṇo 'harat prāṇān kṣatriyāṇāṃ viśāmpate ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ಸೋಮಕರೆಲ್ಲರು ತ್ವರಿತವಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಿಂದ ಬಾಣವೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರೋಣನು, ಓ ಜನಾಧಿಪತೇ, ಕ್ಷತ್ರಿಯರ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
