विमुखं तु रणे दृष्टवा याज्ञसेनिं महारथम्
vimukhaṃ tu raṇe dṛṣṭvā yājñaseniṃ mahāratham
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ರಣಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಜ್ಞಸೇನಿಯ ಆ ಮಹಾರಥನು ವಿಮುಖನಾದುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ವೀಕ್ಷಕರು, ಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಕದಿದರೆ ಮಹಾವೀರ್ಯವೂ ತಡಬಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡರು; ಧರ್ಮ-ನೀತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಯುದ್ಧತಂತ್ರದ ಒತ್ತಡದ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಅದು ಅಶುಭ ಸೂಚನೆಯಾಯಿತು.
