द्रोणपर्व — अध्याय १६२: प्रातःसंध्यायां युद्धप्रवृत्तिः तथा रजोमेघे संमूढता
यावत् त्वां निशितैर्बाणै: प्रेषयामि यमक्षयम् । 'धृष्टद्युम्न! स्थिर होकर दो घड़ी और प्रतीक्षा कर लो” तबतक मैं तुम्हें अपने पैने बाणोंद्वारा यमलोक भेज देता हूँ!
yāvat tvāṃ niśitair bāṇaiḥ preṣayāmi yamakṣayam | dhṛṣṭadyumna sthiraḥ bhūtvā dve ghaṭike ca pratīkṣasva ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ಧೃಷ್ಟದ್ಯುಮ್ನನೇ! ಸ್ಥಿರನಾಗಿರು; ಇನ್ನೂ ಎರಡು ಘಟಿಕೆ ಕಾಯು. ಅಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ನನ್ನ ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣ ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಮನ ಅಕ್ಷಯ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.”
