Transliteration

tasmin rātrimukhe ghore mahāśabdaninādite

Translation

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಆ ಭಯಾನಕ ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಮಹಾಶಬ್ದಗಳ ಘೋರ ನಿನಾದದಿಂದ ರಣಭೂಮಿ ಮೊಳಗಿತು; ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಕವಿದರೂ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಕೋಲಾಹಲ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿರಂತರ ಸಂಹಾರದ ನಡುವೆ ಭಯವೂ ಧರ್ಮಸಂಕಟವೂ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಯಿತು.
