चक्रैः प्रमथितैश्ित्रैरक्षेश्न॒ बहुधा रणे । युगै्योक्त्रै: कलापैश्न धनुर्भि: सायकैस्तथा
cakraiḥ pramathitaiś citrair akṣaiś ca bahudhā raṇe | yugair yoktraiḥ kalāpaiś ca dhanurbhiḥ sāyakais tathā ||
ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಆ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ರಥಗಳು ಅನೇಕ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚೂರಾಗಿ ಹೋದವು—ಚಕ್ರಗಳು ಮುರಿದವು, ಅಕ್ಷಗಳು ಭಂಗವಾದವು; ಯುಗಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಲಗಾಮಗಳೂ ಚಿದ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಬಾಣಕೋಶಗಳು ಚದುರಿದವು, ಧನುಸ್ಸುಗಳು ಮುರಿದವು, ಬಾಣಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದವು. ಹೀಗೆ ಈ ಭೂಮಿ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣವಿಲ್ಲದ ಕ್ರೋಧ ತರುವ ವಿನಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಯಿತು—ಸಂಯಮವಿಲ್ಲದ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶೌರ್ಯವು ಮಹತ್ತಾದ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವಶೇಷಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ।
