स तथा शरवर्षाभ्यां सुमहद्भ्यां महाभुज: । पीड्यमान: परामार्तिमगमद् रथिनां वर:,इस प्रकार दो दिशाओंसे होनेवाली उस भारी बाणवर्षसे पीड़ित हो रथियोंमें श्रेष्ठ महाबाहु अर्जुन अत्यन्त व्यथित हो उठे
sa tathā śaravarṣābhyāṃ sumahadbhyāṃ mahābhujaḥ | pīḍyamānaḥ parāmārtim agamad rathināṃ varaḥ ||
ಎರಡು ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಿಂದ ಸುರಿದ ಆ ಮಹಾ ಶರವೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಪೀಡಿತನಾದ ರಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನಾದ ಮಹಾಬಾಹು ಅರ್ಜುನನು ಪರಮ ವ್ಯಥೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದನು।
संजय उवाच
