तदुत्सज्य धनुश्छिन्न॑ं सौभद्र: परवीरहा । उद्धबर्ह सितं खड्गमाददान: शरावरम्,तब शशत्रुवीरोंका संहार करनेवाले सुभद्राकुमारने उस कटे हुए धनुषको फेंककर चमचमाती हुई तलवार खींच ली और ढाल हाथमें ले ली
tad utsajya dhanuś chinnaṃ saubhadraḥ paravīrahā | udbabhār śitaṃ khaḍgam ādadhānaḥ śarāvaram ||
ಆಗ ಶತ್ರುವೀರಹಂತಕನಾದ ಸೌಭದ್ರನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಧನುಸ್ಸನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿ, ಹೊಳೆಯುವ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಎಳೆದು, ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರಾಣಿಯನ್ನೂ ಹಿಡಿದನು.
