अन्धकार-रजःसंमूढे रणाङ्गणे प्रदीपप्रकाशः | Illumination of the Army in Darkness and Dust
वारणाविव चान्योन्यं विषाणाभ्यामरिंदमौ । निर्भिन्दन्तौ स्वगात्राणि सायकैश्लारु रेजतु:
vāraṇāv iva cānyonyaṁ viṣāṇābhyām arindamau | nirbhindantau svagātrāṇi sāyakaiḥ ślāru reje tuḥ ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಎರಡು ಮಹಾ ಆನೆಗಳಂತೆ ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಅರಿಂದಮರು ಪರಸ್ಪರವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಬುಗಳಿಂದ ತಿವಿದು ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿಯಾಗಿ भिडಿದರು; ಬಾಣಗಳ ಮಳೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬರ ಅಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರು ಭೇದಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರು ಭೀಕರವಾಗಿಯೂ ದೀಪ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸಿದರು।
