pragṛhya ca mahāśaktiṃ kālaśaktim ivāparām | samutkṣipya ca rādhēyaḥ saṃdhāya ca mahābalaḥ ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಮಹಾಬಲಿಯಾದ ರಾಧೇಯ ಕರ್ಣನು ಕಾಲಶಕ್ತಿಯಂತೆ ಅಪ್ರತಿಹತವಾದ ಆ ಮಹಾಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದನು. ಅದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಗುರಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಎಸೆಯಲು ಸಿದ್ಧನಾದನು; ಯುದ್ಧವು ನಿರ್ಣಾಯಕವಾದ ಭಯಾನಕ ಕ್ಷಣದತ್ತ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವಂತೆ.
