दृष्टवा दुःशासनं राजा तथा शरशताचितम्‌

Transliteration

dṛṣṭvā duḥśāsanaṃ rājā tathā śaraśatācitam

Translation

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ನೂರಾರು ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಬಾಣಗಳ ರಾಶಿಯಂತೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದ ದುಃಶಾಸನನನ್ನು ಕಂಡ ರಾಜನಿಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಭೀಕರ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶಗಳ ಕಠೋರ ಸತ್ಯ ತಟ್ಟಿತು; ಬಂಧುವಿನ ಪತನದ ದೃಶ್ಯವು ರಣಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರೋಧ ಮತ್ತು ಅಧರ್ಮದ ನೈತಿಕ ಬೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬಹಿರಂಗಪಡಿಸಿತು.
