यत्तो याहि रणे सूत शृणु चेदं॑ वच: परम् | 'सूत! द्रोणाचार्य मुझे रोकनेके लिये सब प्रकारसे प्रयत्न करेंगे, अतः तुम रफणक्षेत्रमें सावधान होकर चलो और मेरी यह दूसरी बात भी सुन लो
yatto yāhi raṇe sūta śṛṇu cedaṁ vacaḥ param |
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—“ಓ ಸೂತನೇ! ಯುದ್ಧಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ರಥವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸು; ನನ್ನ ಈ ಪರಮ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು. ದ್ರೋಣಾಚಾರ್ಯನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಲು ಎಲ್ಲ ರೀತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸುವನು; ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ರಣಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗರೂಕನಾಗಿ ಸಾಗು, ನನ್ನ ಈ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಮಾತನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳು.”
