द्रोणेन केकय-चेदि-वीरवधः
Droṇa’s engagements with the Kekayas and Cedis
हंसकारण्डवाकीर्ण चक्रवाकोपशोभितम् । सुविस्तीर्ण प्रसन्नाम्भ: प्रफल्लवरपड्कजम्,उसमें हंस और कारण्डव आदि जलपक्षी भरे हुए थे, चक्रवाक उसकी शोभा बढ़ा रहे थे। स्वच्छ जलसे युक्त उस विशाल सरोवरमें सुन्दर कमल खिले हुए थे

ಆ ಸರೋವರವು ಹಂಸಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರಣ್ಡವ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಜಲಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು; ಚಕ್ರವಾಕ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಅದರ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. ಬಹುವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾದ, ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ-ಶಾಂತ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ಆ ಸರೋವರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಕಮಲಗಳು ಅರಳಿದ್ದವು.
