Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s appraisal of Vāsudeva’s deeds
पतितं चैनमालोक्य समन्ताद् भरतस्त्रिय: । परिवव्रुर्महाराजमस्पृशंश्वैव पाणिभि:,महाराजको गिरा देख धृतराष्ट्रकी बहुत-सी स्त्रियाँ उन्हें चारों ओरसे घेरकर बैठ गयीं और उन्हें हाथोंसे सहलाने लगीं
patitaṃ cainam ālokya samantād bharata-striyaḥ | parivavrur mahārājam aspṛśaṃś caiva pāṇibhiḥ ||
ಮಹಾರಾಜನು ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಭರತವಂಶದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಎಲ್ಲ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಸೇರಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದರು; ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಮೃದುವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿಸಿ ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ನೀಡತೊಡಗಿದರು.
