ततो भीमो महाबाहुर्विरथो रथिनां वर: । गदां प्रगृह वेगेन प्रचस्कन्द रथोत्तमात्,इस प्रकार रथहीन होनेपर रथियोंमें श्रेष्ठ महाबाहु भीमसेन हाथमें गदा लेकर उस उत्तम रथसे वेगपूर्वक कूद पड़े

ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಆಮೇಲೆ ಮಹಾಬಾಹು ಭೀಮನು, ರಥವಿಲ್ಲದವನಾದರೂ ರಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನು, ಗದೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ರಥದಿಂದ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಜಿಗಿದು ಇಳಿದನು.
