अध्याय ८८ — घटोत्कच-दुर्योधनयुद्धवर्णनम्
Ghaṭotkaca–Duryodhana Engagement
अपन क्रात बछ। अं पञ्चाशीतितमोब<् ध्याय: अर्जुनका पराक्रम
sa tāḍyamānas tu śarair dhanañjayaḥ | padā hato nāga iva śvasan balī | bāṇena bāṇena mahārathānāṃ ciccheda cāpāni raṇe prasahya |
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ರಾಜನೇ! ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ತಾಡಿತನಾದರೂ ಬಲವಂತನಾದ ಧನಂಜಯನು ಪಾದದಿಂದ ನುಗ್ಗಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸರ್ಪದಂತೆ ಕ್ರೋಧದಿಂದ ದೀರ್ಘ ನಿಶ್ವಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡತೊಡಗಿದನು. ಬಳಿಕ ಅವನು ಬಾಣದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಾಣವನ್ನು ಹಾರಿಸಿ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾರಥಿಗಳ ಧನುಸ್ಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರವಾಗಿ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿದನು.
