तेषां तथा कर्षतां तु गजानां रूपमाबभौ | सर:सु नलिनीजालं विषक्तमिव कर्षताम्‌

Transliteration

teṣāṃ tathā karṣatāṃ tu gajānāṃ rūpam ābabhau | saraḥsu nalinījālaṃ viṣaktam iva karṣatām ||

Translation

ಹೀಗೆ ಎಳೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದ ಆ ಆನೆಗಳ ರೂಪವು, ಸರೋವರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಮಲನಾಳಗಳ ಜಾಲವು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಎಳೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವಂತೆಯೇ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
