विगाहा[ तद् गजानीकं॑ भीमसेनो5पि पाण्डव: । व्यचरत् समरे मृद्नन् गजानिन्द्रो गिरीनिव,उधर पाण्डुनन्दन भीमसेन भी गजसेनामें घुसकर पर्वतोंको विदीर्ण करनेवाले देवेन्द्रके समान हाथियोंको रौंदते हुए समरांगणमें विचरने लगे
vigāhya tad gajānīkaṃ bhīmaseno 'pi pāṇḍavaḥ | vyacarat samare mṛdnann gajān indro girīn iva ||
ಸಂಜಯನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಆ ಮಹಾ ಗಜಸೇನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿ ಪಾಂಡವ ಭೀಮಸೇನನೂ ಯುದ್ಧಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ಆನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತುಳಿದು ನಾಶಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು—ಪರ್ವತಗಳನ್ನು ಚೂರುಮೂರು ಮಾಡುವ ವಜ್ರಧಾರಿ ಇಂದ್ರನಂತೆ.
